1. Spices and dried herbs don’t spoil, but they will lose their flavor over time. The expiration will vary quite a bit, contrary to what a lot of cookbooks tell you, which is to purge your pantry every six months. Who can afford to do that, anyway? Cook with your spices until they no longer have the aroma and taste when originally purchased.
